The women's team, consisting of Shamier Little, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas, and Alexis Holmes, set a new American record with a time of 3:15.27, winning the gold medal by a landslide of 4 seconds.
On the men's side, Christopher Bailey, Vernon Norwood, Bryce Deadmon, and Rai Benjamin clinched the gold with an Olympic record time of 2:54.43, narrowly beating Botswana and Great Britain.
