Australian Olympic Committee Condemns Falsehood-Filled Petition Against B-Girl Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn
The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has blasted an online petition accusing B-girl Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn of manipulating the selection process for the Paris Games.
Matt Carroll, AOC CEO, called the petition 'disgraceful' and 'bullying and harassment,' saying it was designed to engender hatred towards Gunn.
Gunn, 36, failed to receive a single point in the Olympic breaking event and was knocked out in the round-robin stage.
The petition, which has over 45,000 signatures, claimed Gunn manipulated the selection process and questioned whether her husband was part of the panel.
Carroll said the allegations were false and demanded the petition be withdrawn immediately, stating it was 'defamatory' and 'malicious untruths and misinformation.'
