Noah Lyles' Olympic Journey: From Bronze to Gold Despite COVID and Asthma
Noah Lyles, the American track and field star, won the bronze medal in the men's 200-meter final at the Paris Olympics with a 102-degree fever and a positive COVID-19 test. Lyles, who also suffers from asthma, achieved a personal best of 19.31, the third-fastest time ever. He was able to salvage his first Olympic gold in the 100-meter final, which he prioritized dating back to 2022 to step out of his comfort zone and improve his 200-meter time. Lyles is proud of himself for earning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics and a gold medal in the 100-meter final, despite his health challenges. His coach, Lance Brauman, praised Lyles for his determination and strength in competing with a high fever.
