Tragedy Strikes Gudauri Ski Resort: 11 Indians and a Georgian Dead from Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Twelve people, including 11 Indians and a Georgian, have died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a ski resort in Georgia. The victims were found in a building housing an Indian restaurant on Saturday. Police say a power generator had been placed near bedrooms in the building before the bodies were discovered, leading to suspicions of carbon monoxide poisoning. The Indian embassy in Tbilisi is working with local authorities to facilitate the prompt repatriation of the mortal remains to India and is in contact with the bereaved families. The cause of death has not been officially confirmed, and forensic examinations are ongoing.
