Taxi Cab Hits Six Pedestrians in New York City on Christmas Day
On Christmas Day, an out-of-control taxi struck six pedestrians in Herald Square, a crowded spot near Macy's in New York City. The driver, a 58-year-old man, suffered a medical episode and is being evaluated at a hospital. Three people, including a 9-year-old boy, were hospitalized. The boy suffered an injury to his thigh, a 41-year-old woman suffered a head injury, and a 49-year-old woman suffered a leg injury. Three other women refused medical attention. The cab had been traveling northbound on Sixth Avenue when it drove off onto the sidewalk. No arrests have been made.
