Russian forces are intensifying their attacks on Sumy Oblast, leaving a trail of destruction and civilian casualties in their wake.
On the morning of 1st October, Russian forces dropped four guided aerial bombs on Esman hromada, killing a 45-year-old woman and injuring her 47-year-old husband and another civilian.

Just a day later, on the night of 3rd-4th October, Russian forces struck the border areas and settlements of Sumy Oblast 14 times, leaving one person injured.

These attacks are a clear violation of international law, and the Ukrainian authorities are conducting a pre-trial investigation under Art. 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As the conflict continues, our thoughts are with the people of Sumy Oblast, who are bearing the brunt of these senseless attacks.
