Reporters Without Borders** has released its annual report on press freedom, revealing that a staggering 54 journalists lost their lives in 2024 while doing their job. Israel is responsible for a third of these deaths, with 16 journalists killed in Gaza and 2 in Lebanon. Palestine is now the most dangerous country for journalists, surpassing any other nation in the past five years. Ukraine, China, Myanmar, Israel and Belarus are the top jailers of journalists worldwide.
