Legendary College Football Coach John Robinson Passes Away at Age 89
John Robinson, the Hall of Fame football coach who led USC to a national championship and four conference titles, has died at the age of 89.
Robinson, who was also a successful coach in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams, passed away from complications of pneumonia on Monday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
During his tenure at USC, Robinson's teams won 104 games, including a 12-0 season in 1978 that culminated in a national championship.
Robinson is survived by his wife, four children, two stepchildren, and ten grandchildren.
