Tragedy in Madison: School Shooting Leaves Three Dead, Several Injured
A teenage girl opened fire at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on Monday, killing one student, a teacher and injuring several others.
The suspect, identified as 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police are investigating the origin of the firearm and searching her home.
Two students are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, while another three students and a teacher suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The community is in shock, and the school has been cleared with no further danger to the public.
President Biden has called for commonsense gun safety laws in response to the shooting.
