Power Restoration Efforts Underway After Storm Darragh Leaves Thousands Without Electricity in Wales
Storm Darragh battered Wales, leaving 67,000 homes and businesses without power. The storm caused widespread damage, with numerous roads still closed and train services mostly cancelled. Clean-up efforts are underway, with thousands of downed trees and damaged buildings reported. National Grid and Scottish Power are working to restore power to affected areas, with 48,000 properties without power in mid and south Wales and 18,500 properties without power in north and mid Wales. The storm has also caused disruptions to ferry sailings to and from Ireland.
