Legendary World's Oldest Man, John Tinniswood, Passes Away at 112
John Tinniswood, the world's oldest man, has passed away at the age of 112. Born in Liverpool in 1912, Tinniswood became the world's oldest living man in April 2024 after the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez from Venezuela. Known for his lifelong love of Liverpool FC, Tinniswood was a widower who leaves behind a daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family described him as intelligent, decisive, brave, calm in any crisis, talented at maths, and a great conversationalist. Tinniswood believed that the secret to his longevity was pure luck and moderation in all things. He will be missed by many, including the staff and residents of the Hollies Rest care home where he lived since turning 100.
