Sanders, who is seeking re-election to the Senate this November, emphasized the need for Democrats to come together to make meaningful change. He commended President Biden for his accomplishments, but urged Democrats not to become complacent, warning that much remains to be done to stand up to wealth and power and deliver justice for people at home and abroad. Sanders received a warm welcome from the convention crowd, but received the most robust applause when he addressed the war in Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire.
